Learn about iTunes: Syncing media content to iPod

HT1351 I have an ipod video that I have had since i started college.  I just got my first Iphone and the drives that held all my computer music are gone except for my iPod Video.  But I cannot seem to get the tracks off.  My name is the iPods name so what gives?

It's all in the title.  There were not Apple accounts to the extent there are now.  I had iTUnes on my computers in college starting with iPpod Gen 4 which was replaced with a Ipod Video through best buy's protection plan.  I have not had the files on a computer since i list the hard drivve in my laptop sometime before 2010.  The email address  that I used with my iPod Video was my college address and they canceled it.  So I don't think I can access that account.  I imagine that if I could they would let me transfer my own music.  85% of it is CD rip form my collection during my guitar playing years.
