Mac OS X Leopard requires a 867 MHz or faster PowerePC G4, G5 or Intel processor. Mac OS X 10.4 is the most recent version for your iBook. You can't upgrade to Mac OS X Leopard > http://support.apple.com/kb/sp517

Jun 27, 2013 9:52 AM in response to sfromchandlerby Niel,Yes, it can; click here for installation instructions. The 867MHz cutoff is there because Apple's engineers felt it was too slow on earlier machines and not for any technical reason.
