Jun 27, 2013 5:03 PM in response to Pearlytaby ChrisJ4203,Check the link that I provided you. The devices you are trying to connect to need to be in pairing/discovery mode for the iPhone to "see" them. This should be explained well in the support link I provided you.

Aug 23, 2013 11:43 AM in response to Pearlytaby Markanderson1234,I have had this problem too, with two new iphone 5's.
This widespread problem is to do with updating the software when you first connect it to your pc/mac. Out of the box the new ipnone5 will connect to wifi and connect to bluetooth.
But of course as soon as you receive the phone you'll connect it and 'update software'. After updating the software the wifi and bluetooth won't work.
My third new iphone5 is fine as although I have backed it up and transferred everything across I haven't updated the software.
Apple, vodafone, and the genius guys don't know how to fix this problem. If your phone is still in warranty ask apple to replace it and DON'T update the software when asked. Hopefully if you can't get a new phone ios7 will fix this-sometime soon in Sept?
All the best, Mark.

Sep 7, 2014 12:39 PM in response to Pearlytaby lualpa,I am having a similar issue.
Have an iPhone 5 with IOS 7.1.2 and MBA with IOS 10.9.4
I can not pair them via BT
When the MBA finds the iPhone it sends the numeric code which is received OK by the iPhone.
When I accept it the iPhone is listed as Connected in the BT menu of the MBA. For a couple a seconds.
It then shows as not connected.
In the phone the MBA is listed as NOT CONNECTED, of course.
When I touch the MBA in the list of devices of the Bluetooth screen in the iPhone a pop-up tells me the MBA is not compatible.
I have tried with airplane mode, turning BT off and on, and several combinations thereof with no result.
Please help.
