I just upgrade my Mac. I've previously been storing my Itunes media on a external hard drive, but my new Mac's drive has a larger capacity so I want to move there.

The problem is iTunes wont let me. I go to the Advanced Pref. and try and change the location, with 'Keep iTunes Media folder organised' selected, but it doesn't start the migration of the files, it just changes the listed location but nothing else. All the files still play fine, so it seems nothing has actually happened at all.

When I set up my new Mac, I transferred all the settings from my old one, and I think this may have already been an issue. Is there some way to reset iTunes and repopulate the music library? What is the best way to go about this?
