Jun 29, 2013 4:51 PM in response to MDtobe9by Eric Ross,Try resetting your printing system then reinstall the printer. Go into your system preferences and click on print & scan then right click on the printer in the left window then select reset printing system. Then reinstall your printer and try to print.

Jun 29, 2013 5:13 PM in response to Eric Rossby MDtobe9,nope, I did direct connection and it prints, when I got into the system > print and scan> there are two printers with officejet 6600 one says idle and other offline and then I have the scan printer which is the same. It seems like my mac and HP is not recognizing each other through the wifi. Any suggestions?

Jul 2, 2013 12:48 PM in response to MDtobe9by 4stix,Hello MDtobe9, Thanks for the post. With this one, I might suggest removing both instances of the OJ 6600 on your MAC, and then re-adding (system preferences/print and scan/select OJ6600(s)/remove by selecting minus sign at bottom of printers window/re-add by clicking plus sign at bottom of printers window) then try print again via wireless. If you have no luck with that... http://goo.gl/6lCf6I work for HP but my posts and replies are my own....Thank you! -

Jul 6, 2013 6:33 AM in response to 4stixby kfourman,My problem is a similar one with different specs of the printer.
I am using a HP Photosmart 1315 printer with a wireless connection to my MacBook Pro. Up until yesterday, it has worked (for years). After installing Mountain Lion on the laptop...now I'm getting a status error in the queue, #255.
What? I've hunted around and see that I'm not the only one with this sort of issue, but have found no real solutions.

Jul 6, 2013 6:46 AM in response to greg sahliby kfourman,I see, my luck, is that the HP Photosmart 1315 series is not covered in the download....hmmm, too old of a printer? The latest & closest model is 140 series.

There's a third-party open source driver that will work. Called hpijs. Install the 3 parts of it (ghostscript, foomatic, and hpijs) from:
http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/openprinting/macosx/hpijs
Then just add the printer normally and look for "hpijs" or "foomatic" in the driver name.
