Right clicking doesn't work on my computer! It used to in the last version, not this new one.

If there was an option to do that we would not be asking. Maybe you are not up to date.
I am running windows 8 itunes 11.04 or something like that. highlight, edit delete does not work. Right click does not work
control -x does not delete, highlight hit delete does not work. If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.

You cannot delete them. They are part of your purchases. You can only hide them.

Btw, if you just meant the local files off your computer (in the itunes library), then you can delete those by right clicking. What I'm describing is if you're looking at your purchases... which is sounds like you are.

See that is where we are having a failure to communicate. No we can't or we would not be asking. It cannot be deleted from inside itunes
Are you saying to just go into the folder and delete them off my computer? Itunes will just download them again will it not? Where are they located? They are not in the itunes folder. I have downloaded a lot of apps over the last couple years and would love to delete about 5-8 GIGS of them

If you are viewing them in iTunes, in your library section, you can right click and delete. If you are viewing them in your purchased section, you can only hide. This is how it works on a Mac. I suspect it's similar on windows.
I do not know where the files are located in windows. You may want to post your issue in the iTunes for windows forum, instead of bumping a 7 month old thread in the wrong place.

let me repeat this one more time so you can understand. NO WE CANNOT. IF WE COULD WE WOULD NOT BE ASKING HERE. And YES, I am yelling.
highlight, hit delete does not work. Highlight, control X does not work. Highllight edit delete, delete is greyed out. I am not bumping it to the wrong place. I have the same problem. I though perhaps you meant that instead of through itunes I could just delete them off my hard drive since I had already stated 3 times that I could not do it. That is why I posed that question. My understanding is that if you just delete the files itunes will just download them again. However I could be wrong on that.
I will try your link and see if perhaps someone there can help.

Yes, you are wrong.
Are you selecting the app in iTUnes or the app on the iPhone (in iTunes)?
iTunes menu View > View Sidebar.
Select the app you want to delete then Command Delete.

in Itunes. They are already deleted from my ipad None of the standard delete functions work. Believe me I have tried them all. If I could find the apps I would just delete them on my hard drive if I could.
seems like it is a glitch that a few people have. It is not a huge topic but some people appear to have it.

IMO, the problem is in the UI design of iTunes. When a user has device connected to the MacOSX machines and the users opens iTune and then teh user does 1 ) clciks icon of device 2) clicks "Apps" in device view window ( at top, device name is on right, in middle are options Summary, Info, Apps, Music, .... If the user clecik apps they are see the list of apps from the Library but in this view users CANNOT delete an app from the Library. No matter what you do, as long as you are in this view you will not be able to delete.
In order to delete an app from the Library the user must 1) under i Tunes View menu, select "Side bar", 2) under Libary in Side bar click the "Apps" , this will show you the the apps ( there are viewing option across the top of the view of the of the apps ( A'' iPhone/iPod touch iPad iPod Games List Updates) you can delete an app from any of these views of the app. For example, choose the List view , select the app you want to delete and right click for context menu and choose Delete)
