Does parallel desktop provide environment like windows to set up your app? I mean by installing PD8 I will have a windows on my mac or I only will be able to run my app through PD8?

Parallels Desktop 8 is an app that allows you to create a virtual machine where you can install an operating system: Windows, OS X, Linux, BSD, Solaris, etc.

It's just an app that allows you to install an operating system, and you will be able to run Windows at the same time as you have OS X. If you want to install an app inside Windows, it will work like in Windows inside a virtual machine. I'm not completely sure if I understood this question

In order to run Windows on PD8 you must have a legal copy of some kind of retail package of Windows supported by PD8.
