Have you asked Hofer why they need your location? And how would they know you are a foeign user if you don't grant them access to your location?
But looking through their updates recently, they added a Store Locator. Likely, they need your location to help navigate you to the nearest store.
If you don't want them to have your location, say no. It's simple as that. That's why they ask you. Just know if you want to use some features of the app, they won;t work as you might expect them to.

They say, they would need my location for
Multiple selections in the album (???)
and the ‘window‘ is very modal: Accept.
Nothing else (means to flush the App.)
I assume, a programmer at Hofer wants to show his knowledge to leave a loop…

(I have asked them in the meantime but clearly not get an answer between, what I said follows for me from the 'greeting screen' with just the question to allow access; clearly I have a screenshot)

I really don't know how to respond to comments like this other than I doubt very much they are asking for your location because a developer simply wanted to show he could. As a developer, I can tell you, it's a trivial task that would get you absolutely no high-fives.
As I said before, it's simple. If you want to use their app, accept that they will know your location or simply say now. Even better, delete the app and take your business elsewhere.
