Hi all,

I am putting together a family holiday video, created a project added all my video clips and removed the audio from these clips.

I did this so I could just have my favourite music, not the audio of the video.

I then added my own music to the video by clicking on the music icon and dragging the song to the project window - this added the green background.

The song I added is shorter then the duration of the project so I now want to add a second track of music. But before I do this I want to fade out the first song for a smooth transition into the second song.

How do I fade out the song?

I can only see help info on fade in/out of the video clip audio where you use the fade handles.

try the other method to add music to an iMovie project:

drag music#1 onto the first clip of your project.

a green bar appears under the timeline

you can handle this 'bar' as any other clip, e.g. move it, shorten it by dragging its end, etc etc

drag music#2 onto a clip near the end of music#1

you can overlap the two bars, and apply fade-out, -in, dissolve
