You need to update your iMac's system software. v10.4.6 is an oudated version of Tiger.
Click Software Update from your Apple menu. Restart your Mac after the updates are installed and try Safari.
If Safari still can't find a server, try a diferent DNS.
Open System Preferences > Network > TCP/IP
Where you see: DNS Servers
Type in: 184.108.40.206
Then press Return on your keyboard and type in: 220.127.116.11
Then click: Apply Now
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
