I am developing a form using boxes. These will be sent out as questionnaires and the interviewees wil be able to write their answers inside the boxes (or text frames). Bu the length of the asnwer should be restricted by the size of the box. I do not want the interviewees to write long answers. So the curso should stop moving when it gets to the end of the box. I looked all over the INspector to find a way to do this, but I can't. Can anyone help?

    Hi Fletsch,

In Pages, Text Boxes can be set to a size:

If the text exceeds the size of the Box, a + sign appears:

However, there is nothing to prevent a user enlarging the Text Box:

You can Lock the Text Box, but then no-one can type into it!

Maybe Pages is not the app for what you want.

    Regards,

    Ian.

Do the people who gets the form have Pages? If not it is futile to create a form in Pages except for printed versions.

Create the forms in Pages, export to pdf and edit the form to work as a data entry form in Acrobat Pro, the users then can use Acrobat Reader to fill them in.

The data will be submitted to wherever you nominate or just act as a dumb virtual sheet of paper.
