Recently Netflix has stopped allowing me to view anything besides homescreen in portrait mode. I already knoew about the switch and never had it set for that i use it for mute. And i also already knoew about the lock portrait mode icon you get to after pressing the home button twice and swiping until you get to it. STILL as soon as i launch a video it turns into fraking landscape... its really ******* me off as i have all my cradles and docks orientered to portrait mode. Can anyone please help?

With the latest update, NetFlix apparently changed things so that you can only use it in landscape. You should contact them to request a change.

    Best of luck.

Yes, this problem has come up with the most recent update. They need to fix this for people who choose to watch in portrait mode or in docking station.

I am experiencing the same issue but would agree that it is likely a Netflix issue. I will list in reviews on App Store. I was always able to use Netflix on my ipad 3 in portrait until an upgrade that took place within the last couple of months.

It's not an issue or bug.

It is working exactly how Netflix intends it to.

I actually have a backed up .ipa of the old version of netflix. I'm sure i could email it to anyone who is having this kind of problems, you just need to uninstall your ipad version, install the ipa i send in the itunes and sync them.

I don't think this is against any rules here, but if it is, sorry, i will remove my post. Meanwhile, feel free to send me a message or something, this is actually my first post here, since i had this problem before, im trying to help out people with it.

No, you can't. That copy of the app is forever tied to your AppleID.

Right click on that file in iTunes and selecet get info. You will see that your Apple ID is embeded within the file along with your the ourchase date. Sharing it with someone else will not work unless you are willing to give them your Apple ID password so they could authorize their computer to use that app. Othereose, it is worthless to anyone. This prevents people from sharing files AKA piracy.
