You are saying you have a printer that is not on the Airprint list, but you are using an HP app to do the printing. Now since updating iOS, you cannot print with the app? If that is so, I suggest trying to see if there is an update to the app, if there is a firmware update to the printer. You can also restart the wifi network, the printer and the phone and then see if one of those resolves the problem.

I had done these things multiple times. The HP ePrint app talks to the printer, iOS 6.1.3 can't. Looks to me like an iOS problem, but no one else is reporting it?
The last time I printed from iOS was about a month ago.

Check to see if there is an update to the firmware of the printer. Other than that, you have performed all of the troubleshooting I would know. Did you perform the iPhone troubleshooting, restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as a new device?

Is your printer still listed here? http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356

I have the same problem .. with an "HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One Printer".. (listed at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356) my iPhone 4s says "No AirPrint Printers found"
I also suspect that the problem is with iOS 6.1.3..
HP ePrint app works..

You need to make sure the printer is connected to the same wireless network as the iPhone. Make sure the firmware for the printer is up to date. This is not always the case as the printers can sit on the shelf for a little while and need updating.
If the printer is connected to the same wifi network as the phone, then reboot all of the devices. The router, the computer, the printer and the phone, then see if they will connect.
I'm not sure, but I wonder if the HP printer app creates a conflict with the devices. I have an iPhone 4S with iOS 6.1.3 and have had no difficulty, and the other 3 iPhones in our home work as well.

Of course the printer has latest FW (router too) and is connected to the same wifi network.. and I did reboot all devices so many times (in the proper order)..
HP ePrint app creates a problem? Simply because installed?
I tried also uninstalling HP ePrint but nothing did change..

I didn't say that it did, I just said I wondered if it did. The app was designed for printers that are not designed for AirPrint.
Since you did not state you had checked firmware for the printer and router, there was no way for me to know this. All you said was your printer was listed and didn't work, then suspect that it is an iOS 6.1.3 issue.

Sorry... you are right.. I tought it was obvious..
Any hint/suggestions (or some "debug" app) to better understand where the problem is?
Thanks in advance

The basic communication between the phone and the printer has to do with the wifi network. As long as the printer is connected via wifi and is not connected in any way to anything else but the wifi network (not physically connected to the computer/router, then the phone has to be connected.
If you have checked firmware for both the router and the printer, have rebooted all devices, then let me recommend this support document http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/assistant/airprint/. While it says iPad, it can provide a little insight with problems in printing.
You can also try resetting all network settings and reconnecting with the wifi with the phone.

Aldreay tried everything suggested at that link..
I was asking if there is some app or some trick that - at lower level - helps to identify the problem.. pointing the problem - for example - on Bonjour or something else..
I could think it is the router that has problems with Bonjour (if that's the cause) but the manufacturer (I contacted DLink) confirm that they are 100% Bonjour compatible (they gave me a FW update)
but considering that:
- HP Printer Control app (link) doesn't work properly (it doesn't show the Printer IP address and it doesn't enable the Scan and Copy button) on the iPhone..
- the equivalent application on Android (with a Tablet connected to the SAME wifi network) instead works perfectly (it shows IP and enables all functionality)
If it was the Router (Bonjour) I expect that also the Android app did show the same problem.. if both apps use Bonjour to discover the printer,,
Am I wrong?

Android does not use Bonjour.
Is your router a dual band router? If yes, some models of HP printers have problems with dual-band routers and Airprint may not function.

hmm... I see the Bonjour name in the Android app.. but maybe you are right..
My router is the DSL-2680 (link)..
The current setting is
Wireless Mode B/G/N (Mixed Mode)
Do you suggest to change something?

You can try another setting and see if it will work. I don't use that router so I have no specific recommendation.
