I know that there are other seemingly similar threads on here, but none have been able to help so far.

Yesterday after work, our server was upgraded from a Windows XP machine to a Windows 7. Which means the network printer was moved over to it. Now, I cannot print to it. I'm on a 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac with OS X 10.6.8 and the printer is an HP3050.

Now, here is the difference from all the threads that I've found: I never needed a username or password for the server or printer before. I always connected as a guest. In fact, because we're a small office, I don't think anybody has been setup with a username or password on the server. It's mostly used for printer and file sharing.

When I try to print, I get the authetication required error, and the dialogue box to either enter a username and password or connect as a guest. But, since there wasn't any save username or passwords, the keychain trick doesn't work. I'm sure I'm just missing something here, but I can't think of what.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Windows 7 server, HP 3050
