Q: icloud storage almost full when it's not??

I received an email from Apple today saying my iCloud storage is almost full.

"You are currently using 4.9 GB of your total 5 GB of iCloud storage, which means your iCloud storage is almost full. When your storage is full, device backups to iCloud will stop and apps will no longer be able to save documents to iCloud."

But when I got to the systems preference on my Mac it's telling me that I have 4.61 GB of 5 GB of space available. Says the same on all of my iOS devices. Has anyone run into this? If so how did you deal with it?

Csound wasn't asking the question three years ago....the OP was ikaitus. But since the issue was 3 years ago, I don't think any answer at this point is relevant....

I'm getting constant emails and popup banners on my phone saying icloud is almost full but it's not. There's no option in the email or the iphone to stop the spam. It's just trying to sell you more space.
