Can you provide a bit more information so that we can understand the issue more clearly?
What is the model number of your AirPort Extrreme? If you are not sure, look on the bottom of the device. The model number starts with an "A" and four numbers follow, as in Axxxx.
What operating system are you using on your Mac? If you are not sure, click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen, then click About This Mac. Post back with the OS X Version number that you see there.

Issue seems to be either the Extreme is not recognizing the new modum, or the connection the modum is making to it's outside source. Cable compmay is returning to change conection box on my roof ( I live in NYC) so it's for everyone in my building.
I might be interested in buying the newest Airport Extreme, anyway. Any thought on it. Supoosed to be faster than the model I have, correct. Thanks, Peter

It might make sense to take a look at the new AirPort Extreme if you are planning to add new 802.11ac Macs soon. But, the new AirPort is not likely to improve things significantly with your current devices.
In other words, since the new AirPort Exterme uses 802.11ac technology, you only realize the real benefits of this if you also have an 802.11ac Mac. As of now, only the new MacBook Air has this type of capability.

Isn't this a question of reconfiguring the Extreme. It's looking for the old signal from the previous modum box that was replaced yesterday to a newer one. What do you think? And I forgot. How, or where is the dialogue box that allows one to reconfigure? Thanks for the heads up on new Extreme. Looks like I don't need it until I upgrade computers.
Double NAT appears when there are two routers both trying to perform routing services on a network. You only want one device to do this.
The TWC folks have likely installed a modem/router, or gateway type of device, which combines the functions of a separate modem and router in one package.
Is the model number of your "modem" handy? It might be on the back or bottom of the device. We need the model number....not the serial number.
The TG862G is a modem/router, so you have two devices.....both trying to act as routers on your network.
The AirPort Exteme needs to be configured to operate in Bridge Mode to function correctly with the TWC device.
Open up AirPort Utility again and click on the AirPort Extreme icon, then click Edit in the smalll box that appears.
Click the Network tab at the top of the window
Change the setting for Network Mode from DHCP and NAT to Off (Bridge Mode).
Click Update at the lower right of the window and wait a full minute for the AirPort Extreme to restart to a green light.
Then, power off both the TG862G and AirPort Exteme and wait a few minutes
Power up the TG862G first, and let it run 2-3 minutes by itself, then power up the AirPort Extreme.
You should be good to go.
