I recently purchased a new Audi A4 2013 of which is fitted with the Audi Music Interface (AMI). (The AMI enables compatible devices to feed music through the sound system whilst simultaneously charging the handset) When i first purchased the car the AMI and my iPhone 4S worked together. However, since i updated to Version 6.1.3 the car now fails to recognise my handset when connected. I have spoken with Audi and am assured the relevant firware update is installed in their cars additionally, a diagnostic test at the main dealer revealed no problems with the installed software. I have tried other iPhones with the 6.1.3 update installed and they work perfectly with my car.

I am unaware of any damage being caused to my phone or connections since purchase so am able to exclude this potential problem.

Has anyone else experienced the same problems? If so, how do i rectify this failing?

Thanks in advance.

Gingergonk.

Hello gingergonk, I have been looking for this exact same pb on the internet and found your post. I got the same issue: after updating my 4S to 6.1.4 the Audi AMI will not recognize my iPhone... it would only allow to charge it! I did try with my iPhone which had previous iOS version and it did still recognize it. So conclusion is that the upgrade to 6.1.3 got into conflict with the Audi AMI. Was not able to find any solution to this issue.

So were you able to find a solution to this pb ?  If yes, I 'd be greatful to hear it.
