Why does garageband keep cutting off my recordings?

I'm recording a "real instrument" track using a microphone plugged into a USB MIDI Interface. Garageband keeps stopping the recording when I don't tell it to. First I thought it automatically imposed some natural time limit after about 10 minutes (it first cut me off around 10:40), then I wondered if I needed to extend the end of the project (which I don't actually think is an issue) but neither seems to be the case; GB soon began cutting off my recordings after short increments of time.

I'm hoping to record 15-25 minutes of a voice narration, podcast style.

Anyone have any idea what I can do to stop it from arbitrarily stopping & cutting off my recordings/know why it would be doing this? Help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there!  I would like to know something too as I have a similar issue.  While listening to recordings in Garageband the sound will fade away and I cannot hear any more.  I know the rcordings are there because I JUST recorded them last night as well as past recordings, but I cannot hear anything.  I know the speakers are fine as I can hear when listening to iTunes.  This is extremely frustrating.  So if anyone has any thoughts, do share.

    Thanks,
