Q: Will this work with AirPort Expresses?

Has anyone set up a roaming network as shown in an Apple Knowledge Base article entitlted “Wi-Fi base stations: Setting up and configuring a roaming network,” where the slave units are AirPort Expresses?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

    Sure, works just fine.

     

    Unfortunately, that Knowledge Base article....while providing good general information.....is a few years out of date, and does not apply to the setup for Macs running the Lion or Mountain Lion operating system.

     

    Apple has yet to update the article, but we can provide the "how to" with Lion and Mountain Lion if you are interested.

    As I said, Apple has yet to provide updated information, so we handle things on a case by case basis. Have your friend start a new post providing as much information as possible.

     

    How many AirPort Express devices?

     

    Which version/models of the AirPort Express?

     

    What is the make and model number of the modem?

     

    What operating system is the Mac or PC using?
