Jan 14, 2013 5:27 PM in response to Vinezzzby Shak79,Here is the bottom line. If you are not paying for the mobile hotspot connectivity, you will not be able to connect the iphone to the ipad via bluetooth.

Mar 21, 2013 6:33 PM in response to cma19651by Meg St._Clair,Your question is unclear. As has been stated, you can't connect an iPad to an iPhone over BlueTooth. Is your question related to that? If it's not, you'd be better off starting your own thread rather than tacking on to an unrelated thread that's been dormant for a couple of months.
iOS doesn't support a mouse, either.

Apr 9, 2013 2:56 PM in response to Vinezzzby joeleo1937,Why is everyone trying to use Bluetooth between iPad and iPhone to transfer files and pictures. All they have to do is use iCloud and set it to automatic on both units.
If you don't have iCloud then get the App Dropbox and transfer files using it. That can be setup to transfer any changes you make to files or pictures automatically.
Everyone is trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist.

Jul 1, 2013 1:03 AM in response to Vinezzzby Babaikram,Recently, I have been tethering my iPad (wifi only) to iPhone consistently by bluetooth. First turn on hotspot on your iPhone and turn on bluetooth on both iPhone and iPad. The two should be discoverable to each other. Request that iPad should connect to iPhone. NOTE, not the other way round. iPad should now be tethered to iPhone after entering the mutually presented passcode. Note, the iPad will not connect to iPhone by bluetooth without a specific reason such as for tethering (therefore, hotspot must be turned on first on the iPhone). I also know of apps such as SuperShare and Airdisk Pro that can transfer photos and documents between idevices via bluetooth

Jul 18, 2013 7:08 AM in response to perryteoby Apple guy9,What can you do when you Bluetooth them?
-
Jul 18, 2013 7:36 AM in response to Apple guy9by Phil0124,You can share your internet connection from one to the other if your cell provider allows it.
Also some Apps support file transfer, but its the Apps that manage the connection rather than pairing them directly through the bluetooth options in settings on the devices.

Aug 14, 2013 11:23 AM in response to Shak79by Ihateapplerules,I have been using internet tethering with my i-Phone and laptop all along, while having unlimited 3G. But pairing my iPhone with my iPad to do the same is forbidden by Apple. Great. This is why Apple eventually will not win. Forcing people to think only in one way, the Apple way. WYSIWYG was famous. But what you get is not what you want, Apple has proven is once again.
Now if any Apple person with some courage is reading this: make it possible to do internet tethering with my genuine iPhone 5 and iPad 2. Listen for once to your users. It may help you survive.
Apple? Where are you people?

Not her. This is a user-to-user technical support forum. Submit your feedback directly to Apple using the appropriate link on the Feedback page:

This is incorrect. Internet connection sharing is perfectly possible though bluetooth.
Did you manage to read the entire thread before whinning?
You can share your internet connection from your iPhone to your iPad through Bluetooth, by enabling Personal hotspot, and turning on bluetooth on both devices, then simply searching for your iPhone in the list of Bluetooth devices on your iPad.
This works, and I do it all the time.
There is nothing to fix, because this is perfectly possible. If you can't do it, then its something you are doing rather than a limitation by Apple.

Aug 14, 2013 12:01 PM in response to Phil0124by Ihateapplerules, turning on bluetooth on both devices (iPhone and iPad won't pair), that's the problem. Read the whole thread and it seems that since apple launched iPad with 3G it is no longer possible.
So remains the question: do you have an idea how to pair iPhone 5 with iPad2 with Bleutooth.

Aug 14, 2013 3:06 PM in response to Ihateapplerulesby Phil0124,They will Pair once you have Hotspot on, and you find the Phone in the iPad's device list.
They will not pair if you don't have Hotspot turned on in Settings.
Again I've done this many times.
I can share the internet perfectly fine through bluetooth.
