Jul 18, 2013 9:57 AM in response to Winkblinkby Demo,As long as she continues to use the device, it will never go to sleep. Auto lock is only used for when the iPad is not being used. There is no way to lock the iPad down by timer or by using another app. If you would like to see the feature added in the future, let Apple know about it here.

Jan 16, 2014 9:27 AM in response to Winkblinkby KLShull,I haven't tried this app yet, but am looking for a similar feature you're looking for. I think this one would work for you. I'm looking for one I can set a timer for when I give my child my ipad to play on - not a maximum daily time like this one.
TimeLock allows parents to set a daily usage time limit on their child's iPod

Mar 31, 2015 7:08 AM in response to KLShullby henleya,I have this app and it doesn't lock my daughter's iPad Mini from use. It just flashes and emits a sound, but still allows her to use the device.

Mar 31, 2015 9:33 AM in response to henleyaby Kilgore-Trout,No, it doesn't, since no third party app can actually control iOS access to any effective degree. It is also telling that this app has not been updated since 2011.
