Q: How do I cut Aperture's ties to my nonexistent MobileMe galleries?

I downloaded the contents of my MobileMe galleries and deleted them last year. But Aperture 3.4.5 still shows links to these galleries in my Library (with an iCloud icons!). I tried repeatedly to delete the links, but all I get is warning icons where the broadcasting icons used to be. And when I reopen Aperture the original link reappears. How do I get rid of these references to non-existent MobileMe galleries?

Are you still signed into Mobile Me from the Aperture Preferences > Accounts pane? then delete the account there.

In Aperture 3.4.5, web accounts appear in Aperture> Preferences> Web > Accounts. MobileMe isn't listed as one of my accounts.

Might as well repair Library permissions.

Have you tried repairing your Library?

Is there any chance any one of the listed accounts is linked to your old MobileMe galleries?

Could you please post a screenshot of what this looks like?

Repaired permissions. Problem still occurs. Neither account was linked to the old galleries.

Here are screenshots of the problem MobileMe galleries in my Aperture Library, the delete message, and the resulting warning icons after my unsuccessful deletion attempts.  I've tried deleting both with the "import photos to your library before deleting" box checked and unchecked. Either way, I get the same warning icons and the gallery links reappear when I reopen Aperture.

You said "repaired permissions". But did you try the other options? Repair library, rebuild library?

If not, make a backup and try to repair.

Do you see the same MM links, if you create a new Aperture library?

From the main menu bar.  File > Switch to library > other/new

    and create an empty library?

If an empty library does not show these "Mobile Me" links, rebuild your Aperture library.

But if even an empty library does show these links, reinstall Aperture.

OK, I've now tried all three Aperture First Aid options--repair permissions, repair library, and rebuild library. None solves the problem.

Also tried creating a new, empty library. It doesn't show the ghost Mobile Me links. But when I try to rebuild the Aperture library, they come back.

I think it has something to do with the fact that my Aperture Library is my iPhoto 9.4.3 Library.  The Mobile Me albums no longer appear in iPhoto's Library. But when I look at iPhoto's Sharing Preferences, they are listed among the albums available for sharing.

I've tried deleting all iPhoto plists, including the Sharing one, as well as my Aperture plists. But when I rebuild the Aperture library, the Mobile Me links always reappear.

Don't know how to reinstall Aperture because I downloaded it from the Apple App Store.

    Any more suggestions?
