The reason(s) for no downloads is quite unique, complex & personal. I appreciate any assistnce I might receive, but I desire no subjective response to origin & process generating the problem for which I am requesting assistance.

You plug the phone into the computer and the import program for the particular operating system you are using provides you the option to import the photos. It appears that you have a Mac system. I believe that iPhoto is the default photo import program. And, it was not a subjective response, it was a request to verify your information that you have 15,000 pictures, and then I asked a question as to whether you had imported any in the past.

Yes, I use/have Mac system (G5, Macbook Pro, iPad, 4S, et. al.; and, unfortunately, if iPhoto and all my devices were more compatible with that application, I would not have the 15k still on my iPhone..... and a myriad of other image problems & countless hours of aggravated experiences with/from Clients.
The laptop does not read the device at all; the G5 crashes when the application on the G5 attempts to import the photo's.
