You can sync them from your Mac via iTunes, either via USB or WiFi, or you can use a cloud-based sharing service such as Dropbox. There are also third party apps such as FileBrowser which can allow your iPad to access shared drives and folders on your network.

Try Spashtop Remote iDesktop in the app store and read independent tech reviews and user reviews. There are others out there, but I can't think of the names right now. It's $9.99 on sale, anf it really is on sale. I have seen it for $19.99. If you have a cellular ipad, you can, for a small cost, and charges on your phone bill, get anywhere access.
One of our son uses it (wi-fi only) on his campus, and it really works.
You can also work with your files on your ipad, and the work will be reflected on your mac.
Hope this helps.

Happy to have been able to help!
When I read about this last year I thought it was a brilliant breakthrough and then learned there are others out there like it.
Now if only they could have an app that could do the reverse so that people taking care of family at a distance can help them - especially Senior parents!
Hope it works great for you!

Love it, love it. I came in here about two minutes ago with the same question asked at the beginning of this discussion and already I have my answer.
Thanks to all of you!!!

If you like Splashtop, you might love this! I was checking out Spashtop before I recommended it this week (updates can improve and app or mess it up.) I saw, on the right side of the app screen, the new top paid app.
And, while I know this kind of thing has been out there, though I always thought that rdp and vpn type of things were for serious tech savvy people...
It's called Jump Desktop. It sounds amazing. It'll take to long to explain, but you should check it out! Talk about being able to have all of your ios products working together!!! (I'm going to get our younger son to buy it to make sure it does what it and user reviews say it does!
Hope this helps!
