I feel really stupid but I don't know how to use itunes. I have a new computer so don't have previous itunes library on this computer. I want to transfer music from my ipod to my ipad. How do I do this? Thank you

Is your iPod synced to the same computer as well? If so, it should be pretty easy. If it's synced with the new computer, all you have to do is connect the iPad and when it is done syncing, if your music isn't on there then, go into the iPad's options and check the box that says sync music and click apply. If you don't have any music on your computer, I'm not the one to ask, but that's a good question.

iDevices are not and have never been backup devices.

Sync is one way, computer to iPhone.

Attempts to sync an iDevice to a new computer will result in the media on the device being replaced with the media from the new computer.

Copy or move the media (the ENTIRE iTunes folder) from the old computer to the new computer.
