Q: Photos - i-Phone, MacBook Pro and i-photo

If I delete a photo on my i-phone when I have photostream on does it delete it on my MacBook Pro and i-Cloud and vice versa?  If I plug my i-phone into my Mac Book Pro and download all the pictures to i-Photo does it make duplicates because they have been photo streamed in previously?

It depends.  If you have Automatic Import checked in iPhoto>Preferences>Photo Stream, you photo stream photos are automatically imported to your iPhoto library and there is no need to import them from your iPhone.  (You can confirm that the photos are in your library by Contol-clicking on any photo stream photos; if it says "Show in Library" it has been imported to your library.)

If you delete a photo stream photo from your iPhone or from your Mac, it is deleted from iCloud and your other devices.  If the photo has automatically been imported to iPhoto with the Automatic Import option, you will still have a copy stored in your iPhoto library.

How do I know if I set up the Automatic Import option...where do you select that?

Open iPhoto and go to Preferences>Photo Stream.  Looks like the image below.
