Firstly, restart your device. Hold the sleep/wake (lock) button and slide to power off. Then power it back on.
Then, make sure you are connected to a wifi that has internet connection. To test if it has internet connection, try opening a safari page on your device.
After verifying your wifi connection, try the update again. If it still won't update, then uninstalling/reinstalling the app that it hangs on is the best option.

Thank you. I did already shut down and repower. My internet is going through 3G not WiFi. Some seem to update and others don't, definitely very slow. I'll see how it changes when I get home and on WiFi. If that doesn't work, I'll uninstall and reinstall. Would like to take a backup before I do that if I can. Thanks again.
