Try exiting the calender app. then disabling calenders & reminders from iClod in system preferences and then enabling it again.

I have the same problem, and I would like to do what you suggested. But in System Preference, I cannot find any place that turns on/off "calenders & reminders from iCloud". Which subsection of System Preferences is it in?
Here are screen shots of Mail, Contacts and Calendars and iCloud, and as you can see there doesn't seem to be any way to do it...
Thanks in advance...

Hey, you need to go to iCloud in system preferences insteat of "mail, contacts and calendars".. When you sign in in the screen of your underneath screenshot you should probably be able to try to mark and unmark calendars and reminders..

Thank you! I just did as you suggested, and it does have a place to turn on/off the Calendar's link to iCloud. We'll see if that resolves the problem. (The problem comes up every few days.)
