The main message was to separate the purchase history from the app-list.

I would have been fine in having the useless crap in a separate password-protected purchase history but don't want to see this garbage "ad vitam aeternam" in my applications.

Is that soo difficult to understand?

But there aren't two different lists. Just the purchase history. What seems soo difficult for people to understand is that complaining here will do no good. Use the Feedback page:

    http://www.apple.com/feedback

    Best of luck.

It is even worse than I thought:

You have got 2 locations in iTunes:

    a) the "app list" (from which I would like that crap to disappear and

    b) the "purchased" list where I would not mind seeing them as long as they would disappear from my "app list" and not generate update requests.

For some strange reason, some apps (e.g. Jetscanner and Pandora) do clutter a) but just do not show up in b), so i haven't got any chance to "hide" them.

Complaining in the feed back won't help.

Apple is an arrogant company that knows better than its customers.

Has nothing to do with arrogance. Complaining here won't do any good

"But there aren't two different lists. Just the purchase history."

Indeed you see your downloaded apps in three locations (at least):

    • The sync list in the device view
    • The purchased list in the library
    • and the password protected purchase history in your account view:

Go to view "my account" from the Store menu.

    enter your password

From there click on "purchase history" --> "see all".

Then you get the real accounting view on your purchases.

With date of purchase and order numbers.

Like it should be. Password protected. This list is 100% OK.

This is the only purchase history, which should not be changeable.

The purchase list in the library and the sync list on the devices are not accounting relevant and could really be less restricitive.

    To add some confusion:

    If you have travelled and used several local app stores with several accounts;

The account history and the applist in the library are account specific, the sync list in the device view is not.

So if you want to get rid of an app in this list, you must remember the exact account with which you have purchased it...

21 Months and surely there have been more than a few who have used the fabled "feedback page" all to no avail. Should my "purchases" disappear from my purchase history on itunes?(even the free ones) Probably not. Does my credit card company put every purchase I have ever made in these last 21 months on my bill every month? No that would be stupid. In fact, if I wish to see a bank statement thats 21 months old showing all the checks I wrote back then, I have to pay for it. So why does my iphone insist on reminding me of all the crap, free, apps I have ever been so unfortunate to try, only to find that the description was that of the paid version, and the free version was nothing but a spam generator, in perpetuity? If I buy an app,(it is idiotic to catagorize a free app as a purchase, but that is neither here nor there) and I delete it from my iphone, no trace should remain on my phone afterward. If the reason this feature is so difficult to provide is because some money changes hands behind the scenes,(Like app developers have to pay apple to get free apps "sponsored" hoping to cash in later when their paid versions are "purchased") then perhaps Apple would welcome a flood of "free app purchases". Not a few, but so many that they need whole new server farms just to keep track of all those "purchases". I am afraid, however that wouldnt work either, because I have about 65 free apps currently and only about 10 appear in my purchase history, with 6 hidden from back when that was an option and no sign of those purchased on any one of my 3 iphones that were subsequently deleted.(in itunes that is, they still appear on the phones, under "not on this iphone" in the app store) I would be ok with them being forever ensconced in itunes on my computer and GONE from my phone, but i guess the opposite of what you want is what you get from apple.

WHAT IT SHOULD BE DONE IS PRETTY SIMPLE (TAKE NOTE PLEASE APPLE), JUST MAKE 2 LEVELS OF SECURITY IN THE APPLE ID, SO YO CAN ACCESS AND INSTALL THE APPS AVAILABLE AS WELL AS OTHER CONTENT LIKE MUSIC ETC IF THERE ARE 2 OR MORE DEVICES ASSOCIATED WITH ONE ACCOUNT, BUT GETTING INTO THE INFORMATION OF THE ACCOUNT LIKE HISTORY, HIDDEN PURCHASES ETC ETC MUST REQUIRE ANOTHER PASSWORD OR SIMPLY THE ANSWER OF THE SECURITY QUESTIONS. BECAUSE I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, I HAVE 2 DEVICES WITH ONE APPLE ID, ONE FOR MY DAD AND THE OTHER FOR ME, BUT I WANT HIM TO BE CAPABLE TO DOWNLOAD OR UPDATE ANY APP USING THE USERNAME AND PASSWORD, BUT NOT GETTING INTO THE INFORMATION OF THE ACCOUNT, LIKE HISTORY, HIDDEN PURCHASES BLA BLA BLA BECAUSE IF HE KNOWS HOW MUCH MONEY HAVE I SPENT IN PURCHASES HE WILL PROBABLY KILL ME

APPLE: WE NEED REALLY A SOLUTION ON THIS, HERE IS JUST AN IDEA, YOU ARE THE PROFESSIONALS, IS URGENT!

By turn on Genius you will send information to apple about the apps you have already downloaded. Now if you turn off Genius the purchased list will be cleared. How to turn off Genius? Ok

Go to App Store -> Click on Featured (at bottom left)--> Go all the way down you will see  Apple ID button --> Click that you will see View Account at the top list click that --> Now click on turn off Genius for Apps--> Done. Problem solved.

Just pop up a login window after I press the purchased bottom, that will do. I don't care how many junk apps I have downloaded, I just don't want others reach it. For iCloud users, terminate your old account, get a new one and this time stay away from iCloud.

Hey! I opened iTunes, opened my purchased list and deleted the apps from there, then I went back to my library and came back to check again if the apps were removed from my iTunes purchased menu, then I logged out of my iPad and iPhone (logged out of my apple and iCloud ID I mean), and when I logged back in, and checked my App Store for purchased apps, the unwanted apps werent there (Phew!)... hope that helped!
