If you successfully erased the iPod it will never show up in FindMyiPhone unless they sign in with your ID.
What was the name of the iPod?
Did you have a screen-lock passcode set? Was it the simple 4 digit one? Those can be cracked in an hour.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
- Apple will do nothing without a court order
You can only lock or erase your iPod when its connected to Wi-Fi.
You will recieve a message that your iPod was wiped. (Like i said before, the iPod needs a Wi-Fi connection for that.)
Do you have a passcode? If yes, the thief can't access your data without a third-party software.
If the trief restores a locked (code-secured) iPod, all data on this iPod will be deleted.
