I would recommend restarting the Apple TV
Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation): How to restart your Apple TV
If you have Apple TV software 5.0 or later installed, you can restart your Apple TV using the onscreen menu. To restart your Apple TV choose Settings > General > Restart.
If the issue persists then you may wanna restore the device Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation): Restoring your Apple TV http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4367

After a couple attempts do to this and the restore not loading, it finally did. So far seems better, yet not as quick as mt ATV 2. 14.4 download speed with Comcast by the way.

Went into Airport Utility and changed by wireless network to be 801.1n(5Ghz) - 801.1n(2.4Ghz) only, instead of the 801.1 a/b/g backwards compatible, since everything I am running is newer, and streaming problems seem to be fixed. I still have it operating on both bands, but might try naming the 5Ghz band and running things on 5Ghz only to compare speed and signal strength to what I have now, but seems to have worked so far!
