Q: Is it possible to only migrate emails and contacts from time machine?

I have done three time machine installs from previous macbookpro's and it feels like its time for a fresh machine.

All i want to recover from my time machine now is my emails and contacts. This is not an option in migration assistant. any ideas?

Mac Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

    Restore the ~/Library/Mail folder and the ~/Library/Applications Support/AddressBook folder.

     

    I've never recovered the whole Mail folder, so you might want to wait for other input.

    I have restored the AddressBook folder and it works fine. It will also recover the previous recipients in Mail.
