Hello,

I have iPhone 5 and I live in Turkey. When I want to call someone, my call's connection times are very long. For example, when I pressed call button, I have to wait 9-10 sec to hear first ring tone. I have had this problem with my previous and new service provider. I think this is a device problem.

Is it OK to connect a call in 9-10 second to someone? Or my device has a problem. What can I do for that? If I bring my device to Apple store in Europe (in international warranty), can I switch it with a new one ?

Thank you.

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4

There are no interantional warranty.  if your phone lags when making a call, then you should contact your phone carrier as it is their feature not an iphone or hardware problem.

Why there is not international warranty. As I know, Apple gives one year international warranty for iPhones.

No, Apple provides a one year warranty for phones in the country of purchase. The only exception is the EU. If purchased there, the EU is considered a single country for the warranty purpose and I believe their warranty is for two years.

I have contacted with my service provider again. They said, they had reset my settings remotely. After restart my device, nothing happened. Its all the same again. I have to wait 8-9sec at least to connect someone. Does my device a hardware problem ? Or this is normal with the iPhone 5 ?

You can try user troubleshooting from the User Guide; restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. If it still is acting strange again, then either make contact with the carrier again, or you can make an appointment with Apple to have the hardware checked. There are a number of factors that can affect call setup time, such as how busy the tower is.

That is weird, but sounds like a carrier issue...

I have been to Europe with the iPhone 4S call connections should be nearly instant (1-3 seconds lag, if any)

In America, the traversal time from the phone to the network is about 5-6 seconds.

So, for you, 10 seconds is strange.
