Leopard or snow Leopard?
I have never used Leopard.Just a few month used 10.6.8.

In my opinion I would increase memory to 2 GBs of RAM:
Maximum Memory 2.0 GB Memory Slots 2 - 200-pin PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 SO-DIMM
Then I would install Snow Leopard:
