Hi, my iMac originally came with the Tiger OS and I finally upgraded to Snow Leopard a few years ago. I've been having trouble with my iMac freezing up a lot & I would just force shut-down (holding down the power key for 5+ seconds) and then restart it. Well, finally, that trick stopped working because now when it starts, all I get is the background display: no apps, no nothing. I can't immediately locate my disc(s). Is there another way to reboot my system? Can I use something like Fedora instead? Help! I luv my iMac! I don't want to give it up!!!
