renaming my mouse

my mouse connected to my friend's computer and now it (the mouse) has his name, how can i change it?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

    You need to go to System Preferences>Bluetooth, highlight the mouse, and the click on the gear in the bottom left corner.  There will be an option to Rename in that menu.  When you click on that, you can enter a new name:

    There is no gear icon, or + -, in my settings.  All my softwares and updates are current.  Trying to change the name of a co-work who borrowed my mouse and named it his... never again.
