Q: Server OS X Won't Install on Mac Mini with Mountain Lion
I have a Mac Mini Server that was running Snow Leopard (I think - already forgot which version for sure). Today I bit the bullet and installed Mountain Lion on it, then realized the Mountain Lion download didn't include any Server functions. I went back to the App store and bought OS X Server. It downloaded, but didn't run an install automatically (which seemed odd). I found "Server" in the App folder and copied it to the Dock and ran it.
The install started and it got to Network Detection and said, "Multple Networks Detected." It gave the address my local DHCP server assigns to the Mac Mini, as well as 6 other addresses (which I think I set up with Parallels for VMs - and haven't had time to delete in over a year
I picked the choice for the IP address that the Mac Mini should be using and clicked "Continue."
That was many hours ago. Since then it's just sat there, with the lines spinning in the circle shape showing it's waiting. Nothing has happened.
What do I need to do to get this to install properly? I'm not a heavy user, but there's some services I, of course, can't use until this works.
iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)
