I don't know if this is a bug or anything else, but it's a bit annoying:

When you open a new tab in Safari and the Top Sites shows up, a single click on a site doesn't get you to the page, it just updates the Top Sites so the blue border is shown around the sites.

This is what it looks like: http://youtu.be/88W_KJAj8Hc

I hope this bug gets fixed soon or anybody has got the solution to this.

Greetings

Silvan

    HI Silvan ...

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following:

    ~/Library/Safari/TopSites.plist

Click Go then move the TopSites.plist file to the Trash

Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that didnt't work, typr or copy paste the following:

    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db

Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.

Quit and relaunch Safari. Try TopSites.

It's not possible to mark as unsolved.

You didn't mention you were doing this in full screen mode in your first post.

Try troubleshooting extensions and third party plug-ins.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that off if there are any installed. Quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn extensions back on then uninstall one a time to test.

If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.

Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect:  Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.

If nothing above helped, try a Safe Mode boot. A Safe Mode boot deletes some system caches thay may help.

Startup your Mac in Safe Mode

A Safe Mode boot takes a longer than a normal boot so be patient.

Once you are in Safe Mode, click Restart from your Apple () menu.

Then try Safari TopSites in full screen mode.

BTW, it's not a bug. No problem using TopSites in full screen mode here.

I tried all of it but it didn't work...

It's not that big of a deal, but I just don't know why it does that.

It looks like it selects the url bar and therefor you can't hover over the Top Sites, but it works just fine out of fullscreen mode, I can take another video if it helps...

Safe Mode deletes some system caches that may help... and only takes a few minutes to try ...

Startup your Mac in Safe Mode

A Safe Mode boot takes a longer than a normal boot so be patient.

Once you are in Safe Mode, click Restart from the Apple () menu.

    Then try Safari.

As I said I tried all of the above, including Safe Mode, whithout any success.

Reinstall OS X >  About OS X Recovery

Beg pardon, but there's no mention of trying Safe Mode in your prior posts in this thread.

I'm having exactly the same problem! Using Safari 6.0.5. Waiting for a solution...
