If you have too much music on your iPad, you can delete all your music by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping across All Music, then tapping Delete.  Then start downloading your music from iTunes Match again.  You can also delete individual songs and albums from the Music app by swipping across the title and tapping Delete.
