Q: Dvd wont eject or play dvd

I used my dvd player yesterday and it was working. Now all of a sudden my dvd player wont work. I know how to eject the dvd manually by turning off the computer and pressing the mouse pad until it comes out but i want my button to work again. Besides i cant watch a movie.When i insert the disk the dvd player app. comes up and it loads forever until i have to exit it then it wont eject my disc. WHY???????? IT was just working i swear!!!!!!

    Another help source (if you haven't already done so).

     

    Go to your OS Help Menu.  In the search field type dvd

    Click on all the troubleshooting topics & Support Articles that pertain to  your issue.

     

    You can also do the same in Disk Utility.  Open same up.

    At the bottom left of the window, click on the purple button w/the "?" in the middle.

    This will bring up the Help Menu.
