I have just got Apple tV andam having this problem.
I purchased a series of Homeland and it takes hours to load a single episode.
I have checked wifi and signal strength is maximum. Everything else works great on it but this is terrible.
If I rent a Netflix movie it is available to watch immediately so what is the problem here?
Also why doesnt the whole series loaad when ive purchesed it?
Am really fed up.

Aug 17, 2014 7:40 PM in response to stratoboyby vazandrew,This will be due to your network.
Netflix uses adaptive streaming, iTunes is at a fixed rate and needs to load a portion before playback starts.
There is no storage on the device, it will need to load each time
What is the current connection via speedtest (needs at least 6mbps)
DNS should be set to auto (settings - general - network)
If on wifi try ethernet
