Q: An unknown error occured (3014)

An unknown error occured (3014). What is the meaning of this message? I am getting this error message while trying to upgrade my iPhone 4 to IOS 6 and not able to proceed further. Somebody please help.

That usually has to with how iTunes is pulling the SHSH Blobs. You might need to reset your iPhone. If that doesn't work, restore your iPhone which will also update it.

Okay... final update. Reseting my iPhone and iPad wouldn't get my past the error 3014 in iTunes. I followed the suggestion to go to another computer and update the devices. I did so, (freshley downloaded empty iTunes), and both devices backed up and updated themselves just great. Went back to the problem (primary) computer with iTunes, devices no longer needed updates (OS Software up to date with iOS 6) and they sync just fine. So this work around at least worked for me.

I had same problem,went on another computer and went through the process from jmatts5483.
And now I'm working perfectly.or my phone is many many thanks.for your advice.

Make sure you have enough free memory to accept the update. That's what was giving me the error.

After error 3014, I used to reset the Ipad and connect again into the computer but it doesn`t run. Is there an instruction in order to restart the update_
