Q: I bought a phone in the UAE but I don't speak Arabic, how can I change language settings of the phone so the calender and the time could be displayed in English?

If it was only the Calendar and Time, then you have to fix the Region Format, which the article doesn't really address.

Well, since the OP states, quite clearly: "I don't speak Arabic..." I still fail to see how that support article was not helpful.

My guess would be that his Language was already set to English, so that the article did not provide any info on how to solve his problem with Calendar and Time, whose language depends on a different setting.

Well, you know Tom, Region Format is clearly shown the 3rd pic & even if the phone were in English, had the OP read that article, & followed the directions, he/she would have seen their Region Format was wrong.

I agree, if they saw that, it should have been clear what setting did need changing, even if the article does not address it.
