Aug 12, 2013 4:09 PM in response to lesabreby Bob Timmons,Chances are, if you follow the support document above about the blinking amber status light, it will tell you what you already know:
No DNS Servers
No Valid IP address
Can you tell us whether the AirPort Extreme has been operating normally in the past, and these issues have just started to appear?
or......
Are you perhaps trying to configure the AirPort Exteme with a new modem or on a new network for the first time?
In either case, we'll need some basic information from you:
1) Make and model number of your modem
2) What version of AirPort Utility you are using

Aug 14, 2013 9:50 AM in response to Bob Timmonsby lesabre,Make: Airport extreme base station (the new 6 inch one) not the time capsule. it was $199.
Model number:A1521
Airport Utility Version: Newest. i updated it when i got the new modem. my computer is a 2011 imac so it can support the newest version.
i have had the modem for probably 3 days now, and i have never seen this one have a green light yet.
(yes it is brand new, and we got it from our local apple dealer.)

Aug 14, 2013 11:00 AM in response to lesabreby Bob Timmons,Thanks, but we asked if you could provide the make and model number of your modem.
1) Make and model number of your modem
Is that possible?
If not, we don't have much to go on here.
If you connect your iMac directly to the modem.......does that work? If not, then you need to check with your Internet Service Provider to get the modem working correctly first.
