I have the same issue with some of mine, I assume that they have some sort of protection on them. Even though they aren't iTunes purchases you should be able to copy them over to the Books part of your computer's iTunes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases and you can then email them from your computer.

That would make it non mobile in order for it to happen. I just wish Apple would fix the issue. The file is nothing that has to be purchased. It's just a PDF that was emailed to me that I would like to keep in my organized iBooks to be able to email it from there. Or put them in my adobe reader. I'll just have to create a mailbox folder to hold these types of files. Then I'll have to remember which is where, therefore adding complication to something that should be simple. Whatever the reason may be, it should be fixed. I mean I know it's not a big deal but to not have stupid little problems like this is way I choose iOS over android.

You can leave feedback for Apple via this page, but I see it as being an issue with those PDFs having a 'protect flag' set on them, not with the iBooks app : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ibooks_ios.html

Perhaps not. Same PDF in adobe reader can email it just fine. One app can and one can not. For me that is a problem with the app. To me it's the app saying "since this PDF is locked for editing and even though its not purchased I'm going to go ahead and say you can't email it even though that's how I recevied it." I'm just saying if I can transfer it in for free through email, I should be able to send it out the same way.

Yes, I am having the same problem. I transferred purchases via Device right click, and out of over 900 files, only 500 were transferred. When I tried to email each file manually, I cannot find the 'email' icon under the Share icon. Like you, they were not purchased files but more are the PDF files I had for my own reference. I couldn't find any particular in Get Info box either. t don't know why Apple makes things so complicated.
