On my iPhone 4S.  Music and my New Yorker magazine, in particular.

If I'm listening to music, using shuffle mode, all is well.  But if I close it, then go back in, it "forgets" where it was in the playlist & starts playing the same songs (in the same shuffled order) again.

Similar problem with my New Yorker magazine app . . . I'll be in the middle of an article, let's say I close out on page 50.  The next time I go back into the magazine, it'll take me back to a much earlier page . . say page 3.  Again, it's like it "forgets" where I was, when I closed out.

This is a new problem, in the last week.  There haven't been any iOS updates, no App updates, no other problems with my iPhone 4S.

I haven't been able to find any other similar issues, in other apps, but I don't have any other magazine subscriptions, so there's not much basis for comparison.

Help?!

Thank you.

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.0.1
