Q: Help! moving photos in Browser window difficult and very slow

Updated to Aperture 3.4.5 now unable to move photos around easy in browser window taking ages to move a photo to the bottom sometime will not let you move at all or have to move it down 1 line at a time. Any ideas?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2009), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Run "Repair". Details on the Apple Aperture Trouble-shooting page. Be sure to let the repair finish.

You should repair your Library before every upgrade. (Not saying you didn't .)

What does Aperture's Activity window show? (From the main menu bar: Window > Show Activity)

Is Aperture still busy with upgrade tasks running in the background?

When you followed Kirby's suggestion - did you only run "Repair LIbrary" or also "Repair Permissions"? I'd do that as well.

And i'dtest with a new, small library with only a few test images to see if the library is to blame.
