Q: I have some how touched my mouse pad and all icons on my download folder have gotten real tiny unable to read, can some one help me fix that?

Have you tried Finder COMMAND J and adjust 'Icon size"?

Is it possible that you somehow activated the screen zoom feature? If you hold down the Control key, and use the maouse scroll option it will zoom in/out the screen depending upon which why you scroll.
