The knowledgebase article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1490 has one step that can be read two different ways, thanks to an ambiguous construction:

"5. Turn off the computer or allow it to sleep for five hours or more."

You can read that in two ways:

(Turn off the computer) or (allow it to sleep for five hours or more).

-or-

(Turn off the computer or allow it to sleep) for five hours or more.

Which is it? What's that "five hours or more" modifying?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
