Hi... I am the recently-hired multimedia editor for a newspaper based in Asia. We are investing more and more into video/multimedia production. There are three of us currently and we film 2-4 stories a week (64-128GBs (at the very most)) that are usually no longer than 5 minutes in length edited with FCPX. We have a few Canon DSLRs and a Canon Camcorder (MXF Files). I expect us to get a little more output from a freelancer or two in the next year and most likely get video content from outside sources. We will grow but not that much however our production is becoming more streamlined every day as we gain our footing.

We are now running OSX 10.8.4 and editing on FCPX 10.0.9.

So, do we need a Xsan? If we get a Xsan, what other requirements are there hardware-wise?

Thank you in advance and apologies if I missed any obvious details, I'm new to this forum business!

Xsan, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)
